Appointment of the Revd Dr Justin Lewis-Anthony as Deputy Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome

The Governors are pleased to announce the appointment of The Revd Dr Justin Lewis-Anthony as the Deputy Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome with effect from 1 February 2018. Dr Lewis-Anthony will succeed The Revd Marcus Walker who has been appointed Rector of St Bartholomew the Great in the City of London.

Justin Lewis-Anthony has previously been Precentor and Cathedral Chaplain at Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford for five years, Rector of St Stephen’s Church, Hackington in the diocese of Canterbury for ten years, Associate Dean of Students and Director of Anglican Studies at Virginia Theological Seminary in the USA for three years and an Associate Fellow at the Oxford Centre of Ecclesiastical and Practical Theology.  His publications include Circles of Thorns: Hieronymus Bosch and Being Human and If You Meet George Herbert on the Road, Kill Him! – radically rethinking priestly ministry.

Archbishop Bernard Ntahoturi, the Director of the Anglican Centre said: “I am delighted that Justin Lewis-Anthony is joining the team at the Anglican Centre.  He brings a wealth of experience which will be invaluable.”
