Guidelines for those attending courses at the Anglican Centre in Rome

Course Fees

Course fees cover lectures, entry fees, guides, transportation for field trips and some meals. Accommodation, most meals and transportation to and from Rome are not included. Course fees include a year's membership subscription of the Italian association 'The Anglican Centre in Rome', as for Italian legal reasons courses are open only to members of this association. Participants will also receive the next two issues of the Centre's newsletter, Centro.

Bursary Scheme

Bursaries may be available for participants from developing countries to cover their course fees and accommodation, as well as a grant towards the cost of approved transport. Accredited Anglican ordinands may in certain circumstances be offered courses free of charge, but must pay for transport and accommodation.

Accommodation

The Anglican Centre can provide information about a range of accommodation options. (Details here) Clergymen may wish to stay at a nearby Vatican-run clergy hostel for bed and breakfast. Course fees paid to the Anglican Centre do not cover the cost of accommodation.

Registration and Payment

Please contact the Administrator to enquire if a place is available in the course of your choice. She will send you a registration form and payment options. When you have been assigned a place, you will be asked to pay a non-refundable deposit and registration fee of €125/£100/US$175 per person. The balance will be due no later than 8 weeks before the course begins.

Insurance/Cancellation

Applicants are strongly advised to take out adequate travel, health and cancellation insurance. No refund can be made for late withdrawal from a course. The Anglican Centre reserves the right to cancel any course due to lack of sufficient interest. Residents of UK are advised to secure an up-to-date E111 for reciprocal medical care.

Further information for those attending courses

Course information, including how to get to your accommodation from Fiumicino or Ciampino airports, will be sent to participants a few weeks before the course begins. A detailed Course Programme will be sent in the same mailing, which may include suggestions for prior reading.
