THE VERY REVD Canon David Richardson AO, OBE

David and Margie Richardson

The Very Reverend Canon David Richardson, the Archbishop’s Representative to the Holy See and Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome, until his retirement in mid-April 2013 has been appointed an OBE in HM The Queen's 2013 Birthday Honours and an AO (Officer of the Order of Australia) in the 2016 Australia Day Honours. Canon Richardson served for five years as Director of the Centre.

His successor, Archbishop David Moxon, says of the appointment:"As the immediate successor to the Very Reverend Canon David Richardson, it is an honour and a priviledge to acknowledge his period of ministry in these roles.   I have inherited so much of great value, and stand on his shoulders.  The credibility and viability of the Centre are obvious both to the Anglican Communion and to the Vatican here in Rome.   David’s contribution within and beyond the Church at the international level  make this recognition so appropriate.”
